Great pizza … Sorrento Restaurant fronts onto James Street and has it’s own pavement seating area. Northbridge is a bustling place and it’s nice to watch the World go by from a pavement table.

Xena and I often go to Sorrento for a Wood Fired Pizza and a glass of wine. Today’s visit is no exception. We are ushered inside to the cool of the air conditioning because it is a very hot Perth day. And, our order is taken quickly. A short while later water appears, followed by the food.
We ordered our usual Margherita, which was near perfect. Crispy base, with a genuinely Italian flavoured tomato base, fresh basil and grated Parmesan. Definitely could taste garlic and oregano. Love their Pizzas.
We tried a Pinot Grigio, as we were at an Italian Restaurant. It was fine. The wine list was pretty expansive, they know what they’re doing.
I agree that it can be expensive to dine here if you have 3 courses but the food and service are great. We usually just drop in for a pizza and a glass of wine. And, leave with a bill for under $40.00.
History:
According to staff, Sorrento has been serving Perth great Italian food for the last 53 years. Wow.
