My Local … Kiwi Fish and Chips have a small shop on Walter Road. They are really just take away but there is one table and some chairs inside. They take phone orders and it’s best to ring your order in. It’s a busy place and there are often people waiting outside on the pavement for their orders to cook.
The Local Chippy
We hadn’t been able to find a good fish and chip shop locally. And, as someone told us not to bother with Kiwi Fish and Chips. We decided to go further a field but nothing was all that great.
Back to square one and we ventured into Kiwi Fish and Chips. Ordered two snapper and a small chips. Good value. Xena opted for grilled fish, and staff happily obliged.
The fish is very fresh and tastes great either grilled or fried. I’ve had worse fish and chips and paid a lot more. The chips were really crispy. The oil tasted fresh and the servings were big for the price.
We’ve been many times now and the staff are always friendly. And, we’ve never had a bad meal.
