Whisky sour … On my first trip to Asia, in the Kuala Lumpur Hilton Hotel, the bartender made me a Whisky Sour. Saying that it would change my life and I would always remember my first one. Well, he may have been wrong about the life changing thing. But he was certainly right about the drink being memorable.
The Bar
Walking past the 399 Bar on William Street, we finally decided to go in and try a cocktail. Had been meaning to pay a visit for a while, so no time like the present.
399 Bar isn’t that prepossessing from the street but once inside its comfortable and pleasant. Like the decor very much. They offer a range of Tapas, which we didn’t try, and some great cocktails. Must say that the Tapas did look pretty good, people were eating around us. But we had already eaten. That means a return visit to try 399 Bar’s food.
Excellent to find a place in Perth that makes an authentic Whisky Sour. Don’t have one often but it’s nice to know I can. Excellent Cocktail reminiscent of the Hilton Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Kudos.
