Cute Stylish Cafe … It was lunchtime and I was wanting a sandwich badly. Just passing the Brisbane Hotel and noticed Source Foods Cafe on the corner opposite. (Cue car brakes and skidding sound effects).
Ordered a chicken, avocado, brie and spinach roll. Oh, and a raw dessert to take away.
So, the cafe is just charming inside. And, they have a display cabinet of delicious looking healthy food. Was very impressed with my purchases.
The only disappointment with the chicken roll was the actual roll. It was seeded and thick but not crusty. The ingredients, however, were excellent. Chicken breast meat in an aioli mayonnaise. Really sweet spinach, a smear of avocado and a good portion of brie cheese down the centre. A good combination. But a crunchier roll would have been the icing on the cake.
The raw dessert contained all sorts of nuts and seeds, probably too many to mention. But there were goji berries, dates and poppy seeds and it tasted just great. I want to return to dine in and try their other goodies.
