Return visit … On returning to Goreng2 we ordered the Pad Thai and Chicken Satay to take home. The staff were friendly and happy. The wait for food was not very long at all. Goreng2’s decor has a funky, cheerful vibe. Should be a win win all round. So, that leaves the food.
All I can say is that the food was much better than first time we visited. The Pad Thai had a definite tamarind flavour to it. The ingredients were still really good quality. But the sauce needed a bit more oomph to get the taste up to match the quality of the ingredients.
The chicken satay was really good, as was the satay sauce. The sauce serving was very small for 4 large sticks. Perhaps offer satay sauce as a side, it would work for me.
Goreng2 are an Asian Fusion Noodle House located on the Beaufort Street Cafe Strip in Mount Lawley. They offer quality food at good prices. Some of their dishes are spot on, flavour wise. Some, as in my Pad Thai, fall a little short on the taste test. I have been known to purchase their other noodle dishes, rather frequently.
