Hanami Japanese Restaurant, 685 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley WA 6050, Phone 9371 9855.
To Lunch or Not To Lunch … That was the question we asked ourselves as we headed out to the Beaufort Street Café Strip. Just exactly what did we want to eat! We had too many choices and just couldn’t decide. When we spotted Hanami Japanese Restaurant that settled the problem. Japanese food it was to be.

Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now … I’m sure even Morrissey would have had a few words to say about this meal. In his eloquent fashion he possibly would have likened it to a vaudevillian melodrama. Me? I’m just going to tell the truth.

Crepe Cherie, 200 Karrinyup Road, Karrinyup WA 6018, Phone 9204 5807.
Ooh La La … A little bit of France has appeared in Karrinyup Shopping Centre. Crepe Cherie sits in the middle of the one of the atriums in the Centre. It is toned down in sombre browns, whites and tans but still manages to look sophisticated.
Inglewood On Beaufort, Beaufort Street, Inglewood WA 6051, 6.00pm – 9.30pm Every Monday Night of the Season.
Beaufort is the new Black … The Inglewood on Beaufort Markets are something else. There is a real sense of community at these markets. A chance for Inglewood Foodies and invited Mobile Foodies to show their wares and share the love. The number of local cafes and restaurants selling samples of their food on the pavement is a good example of that community. They’re embracing the Food Trucks and letting locals know they’re there too.

Spicy Bites, Eighth Avenue, Maylands WA 6051, Phone 0450 003 591.
Hand in Glove … The spices are certainly working together very well in the food at this new Indian Food Stall. The Spicy Bites story began “when tender butter chicken fell in love with hot fresh naan”. That last line is a direct quote from their Facebook. It made me laugh, so I included it here.
