Hand in Glove … The spices are certainly working together very well in the food at this new Indian Food Stall. The Spicy Bites story began “when tender butter chicken fell in love with hot fresh naan”. That last line is a direct quote from their Facebook. It made me laugh, so I included it here.
We came across this Market Stall at the Food Truck Fridays Market at the Peninsula Tavern in Maylands. We were looking for some kind of entrée and they were serving Pakora at $5.00 for a small bowl. The vegetable Pakora were coated in Chickpea Batter and lightly fried. It was a nice touch when the charming stall owner also added splashes of Tamarind Sauce and Raita. This upped the taste stakes quite a lot. It was a very enjoyable plate of food.
Spicy Bites are regulars at the Maylands Hawkers Market and quite a few other Food Markets around Town.
As well as the Pakora they serve Indian Curries with Rice. I found their food to be exceptionally good. Traditionally spiced and aromatic curries combined with melt in the mouth Chicken. What’s not to like.
