Pandora’s Box … Always exciting to try a new Food Van at a Market. And, at the last market we went to there were three new stalls to try. Heaven.
Must say that the Wooden Box is an impressive Food Van. Firstly the van art wrap is pretty unique. With it’s rows of wooden boxes. The interior holds the commercial kitchen, all shiny and clean.
And, then there’s the menu, a regular Pandora’s Box of food. On the menu the night we came across them was a Bean Tortilla, Garlic Chicken Balls, Nutella Brioche and Bombay Waffle Sticks. There were other things on the menu but I can’t remember them. Couldn’t go past the Bean Tortilla, so that’s what we ordered.
The tortilla may not have been house made but it was a good quality wheat flour roll. It was filled with a refried bean mixture which was nice and oniony. Lined with guacamole, cheese and a touch of sour cream. It was delicious. We had opted to share one but decided to get another one to take home. Yum.
The Wooden Box makes an appearance at a variety of Food Markets around Perth. We caught up with them at the Food Truck Fridays Market at the Peninsula Tavern in Maylands. Watch out for them.
