It’s Finally Hatched in Perth … The Eastern States have been privy to NeNe Chicken for quite a while now. But WA can now boast that East Victoria Park is the home of the first NeNe Chicken in Western Australia.

Xena and I were really happy to drive to NeNe Chicken today. We had heard good things about this Franchise and were eager to try the food.

The Décor is unusual but eclectic and very street. The café itself is quite small downstairs but we were told there was more seating upstairs.

Orders are taken at the Counter. A little hiccup with our order but the charming Waitperson sorted it out for us.

Let’s face It, we were there for the chicken, so chicken was what we ordered. Looking at the menu the $9.90 NeNe Dosirak stood out to me. Two pieces of Fried Chicken with any sauce, Korean Black Bean Rice, Korean Garden Salad and Kimchi. That was the meal for me and chose a swicy (sweet and spicy) sauce for the Chicken.

Xena chose the Fried Chicken Tenders with a Mustard Sauce. The dish didn’t look as appealing as some of the other dishes. But Xena was happy with it because it came with a fair sized basket of chips. Also the crispy chicken was very tender. I thought the Mustard Sauce was great with the chips.

The food was surprisingly better than we thought it might be. The chicken I had was juicy and the crunchy coating full of sesame seeds. The salad, rice and Kimchi were great as well.

Even though the meals weren’t all that large, we had had enough food to see us through til dinnertime. Any more would have been too much.

Oh, and they’re also selling Green Tea and Black Sesame Ice Creams for $2.00 each. Yum.
