Breakfast Can Wait … Our preference was Dinner at Italians Restaurant Pizzeria in Dianella. Decided it was time to be fed by their team of Italian Chefs. Hailing from Rome, Torino and Bologna these three make everything in house, including the Pasta. All under the watchful eye of Head Chef Luca Galaverna.
Arriving with no reservation, a habit that should be broken, we were greeted and seated with a smile. No hint that it was an inconvenience. Water, Menus and Drink orders were taken very quickly.
Really pleasant staff, smiles and chats weren’t a problem. And that was all staff, all during our stay. Including Chef Luca who wished us Goodnight as we were leaving. He was genuinely pleased that we enjoyed his food. Nice touch.
Specials of the Month
Looking at the menu, I knew straight away what to eat. Melanzane al forno, or Eggplant Parmigiana. Love it when this is on the menu.
Xena opted for Pizza Margherita, yes, therein lies another habit.
The food arrived and it all looked amazing. Xena’s Pizza was huge, it took up half the table. Wood Fired and sprinkled with fresh Basil, it smelled great too. Batting away her hands while I took pictures was an achievement.
The Eggplant Parmigiana was great looking with its rich tomato sauce, layers of Eggplant and Mozzarella. The pictures don’t do it justice, it was delicious. Good solid comfort food at its best. There is definitely a time for this type of dish and Friday Night after a long week is one of them. Besides, I was hungry. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
We both enjoyed our meals. Xena opting for a doggy bag for the remainder of her enormous Pizza. I managed to snare a piece and enjoyed it very much.
Oh, and the Wine List, their fizz was Veuve Moisans at $11.00 a glass. The List was extensive with a great selection of Wine by the glass. Some Australian, some European but a lot of my favourite tipples in place.
