A Fish Called Inglewood, Unit 2 / 882 Beaufort Street, Inglewood Wa 6052, Phone 0403 652 531
A Special Opportunity … Have been a big fan of A Fish Called Inglewood since it opened. I’m guessing that was early 2014. We decided to revisit this week because of a very special offer of two courses for $25.00. Seemed rude to ignore that invitation.
It was a dark and stormy night, oh wait, it was a fairly cold night that we ventured out for our revisit. The place was like a little beacon as the other shops around were closed. But the Restaurant was warm, cosy and inviting.
We ordered drinks and food straight away, the advantage of reading the menu before arriving.
For entree Xena chose the Crumbed Squid with Chilli Aioli.
For me It was the Snapper Chowder.
The entrees looked pretty special on arrival, so we dug in. Sharing bits and pieces as we went. Both dishes were pretty great.
Xena’s main course of local Grilled Fish outshone mine a little and the Asian Salad was fab. Lots of different flavours and textures. Didn’t get to try Xena’s fish, it just kind of evaporated.
My Fish and Chips presented well and tasted amazing. Nice Aioli dressing. What I like about this Restaurant is the attention to detail. Excellent salt, quality lemons and limes, the addition of the peanuts to the Asian salad, real cream in the chowder.
Let me just say there was a lot of food. So much so that we couldn’t fit in dessert. Sacre Bleu, that meant no house made ice cream to finish. Oh well, next time.
Great to see the wine list now includes Veuve Tailhan and Draught Cider. Yum.
This is an excellent special which ends 30th June. Bring your appetites.
