La Dolce Vita … The sweet life for me is staging an Osteria dei Sapori Revisit. Noticed that this charming little restaurant was offering a pretty special lunch special. Two courses and a glass of wine for $25.00. A mad dash to the car and off we sped to Nedlands.
The Lunch menu had quite a few offerings for both main course and dessert. And, wow it was hard to choose. Xena opted for the Chicken Breast with Peppercorn Sauce (Petto di Pollo al Pepe). For me it was the Prawn Ravioloni (Ravioloni Ai Gamberi).
We were given a very nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc and settled back to wait for the food.
Xena’s plate of food had two chicken breast fillets sitting on a warm salad. And, a small serve of pretty fab looking hand cut chips. We both enjoyed the taste combination of the well grilled chicken and the peppercorn sauce. Yum.
My plate of food had a similar looking sauce but it had a very delicate prawn flavour to it. A good combination with the al dente Ravioloni (large ravioli) with its flavoursome seafood filling. This was excellent quality food.
Desserts were a joy to look at. Both dishes were delicious. The Profiteroles had the thinnest pastry I’ve seen and there was a delicate crunch. Filled with patisserie crème and topped with a chocolate drizzle.
The Semifreddo was just perfect and came with a chocolate drizzle and a side of berries. Such a great combination of flavours.
Both dishes had a piece of tempered chocolate covered with crushed pistachio. A nice touch.
They’ve still got their triple threat status in my book. Food, Service and Atmosphere are spot on.
