Three Sisters Vietnamese Tuckshop, 253A Oxford Street, Leederville WA 6007.
Vietnamese Tuckshop … Three Sisters has been open three days. It was a surprise to see the café sitting on Oxford Street, opposite Pappagallo. I veered across the Road to take a closer look and decided to stay a while and try the food.
Three Sisters is, funnily enough, run by three Sisters. They are very enthusiastic about their new venture and they should be. The café is small but very cute. Liked the mini wall garden with the menus hanging on hooks.
The menu is small but full of delicious sounding Vietnamese food. Just four dishes are on offer, Pho (Noodle Soup), Bun Thit Nuong (Vermicelli Noodle Salad). Goi Tuon (Rice Paper Rolls) and Banh Mi Thit (Fusion Baguette). And, it’s all ready to take away or dine in.
There are a couple of tables on the pavement, stools at the counter and low tables and chairs. It was pretty busy while I was there. Lots of Pho being slurped around me. Definitely Pho for me next time.
I was tempted by all four dishes but settled on a Turmeric Chicken Banh Mi.
The excellent quality Baguette was chock full of tender Turmeric Chicken. And, fragrant, crunchy vegetables and fresh chillies.
Being a big fan of Banh Mi this meal did not disappoint in any way. Quality ingredients and love went into the making of the Baguette. And, at $9.00, it was a very reasonable price.
Service was excellent. When my Debit Card played up and resulted in three rejected attempts, there were still smiles. Nothing seemed to be a problem.
How did I feel about my dining experience? I appreciated the quality of the food, it was an exceptional sandwich. Keep smiling girls, your food, service and atmosphere are pretty well spot on.
