Beside The Seaside … Visited Hamptons City Beach last week for their official Training Day. A day set aside for their staff to have a dress rehearsal. We were really excited to be going and they kindly offered 50% off any food ordered.
There will be no tale telling here just a small review of the venue and the food we shared. Our lips are sealed on the rest.
Everything was so new and fresh. Loved the open kitchen and the spacious Bar. As an added bonus we were shown to a table by the window which had the full impact of that view.
We ordered a bread basket which was a mixture of granary and plain wheat bread and came with creamed butter, so good. The basket emptied quite quickly.
Xena ordered Tagliatelle with prawns, cherry tomatoes and crunchy bread crumbs. Yet again I had food envy as it was a visually stunning plate of food. It was also very large, so we shared.
Those crumbs added well to the textures, so crunchy and flavoursome. Definitely something I would return to eat.
So, for me it was Fish and Chips. Not sure what I was thinking as there was a diverse menu but my chosen meal was quite plain. Nevertheless, the fish was really good and cooked perfectly. Xena shared most of the chips but that suited me.
So, with the plates cleared away, we sat sipping our drinks and watching the shipping lane ships disappear behind the rain and appear again as it went away. La Dolce Vita.
Hamptons City Beach officially opens today Wednesday 28th September 2016.
