Posh Nosh … It’s All About That Food. Tiisch in the CBD has only been open a few months. It’s a delightful Café on Milligan Street, and close to Cloisters Square, with lots of greenery and crisp pastel colours. Their signature pale Blue is on everything.
Would have to say that the food on offer is exceptional. Breakfast and Lunch items are the things foodie dreams are made of. Healthy and not so healthy options included.
Excellent Daily Specials as well.
For example Matcha Pancakes with Roasted Rhubarb, Honey and Mascarpone or Torbay Asparagus with Free Range Eggs and Parmigiano-Reggiano.
Their coffee is amazing and as this is the second taste of Tiisch java my opinion is still “wow”.
So, headed for Tiisch early one morning and opted for their Bacon and Egg Brioche Roll. The Bacon was quality Italian Speck but as I’m not a fan asked for a side of Mushrooms instead. It was a very wise choice.
There were three or four different types of mushrooms. Going out on a limb I’d suggest there were Enokitake, King Brown and Oyster Mushrooms. They were cooked and seasoned so well and added to the Free Range Egg, melted Provolone Cheese and a swirl of house made Barbecue Sauce. Oh, and that Brioche bun was buttery and fresh, best I’ve had for a while.
The first taste made me smile, it was such a great combination. The attention to detail with both the presentation and the seasoning was excellent. A memorable plate of food.
Staff are really pleasant. The décor is lovely. Great Coffee. But for me Tiisch is all about that food.
