Just The Way You Are … Ria Malay Kitchen is a place that shouldn’t ever change. The Restaurant is beautiful with a charming décor inside and an al fresco outside on Oxford Street. All that and Lunch Specials.
Out of interest I was browsing Ria Malay Kitchen’s menu and found the lunch specials. Reading through the list of four specials presented me with four favourite dishes, Laksa, Nasi Lemak, Nasi Goreng and Mee Hoon Stir Fry.
Nasi Lemak is a particular favourite of mine and one I’ve eaten since the 90’s. Mainly because the flavour combinations are something I can’t go past. Xena is a huge fan of this dish so it’s needless to say we both ate the same thing for lunch.
The presentation of both plates was lovely. The Ikan Bilis was plentiful, the Nonya chicken curry had a lush sauce and the egg and sambal sauce were a great mixture.
Ria’s version is awesome and is probably my favourite meal of the month.
The lunch special is $15.00 with a glass of house wine for an extra $5.00. The wine is a nice blended SSB or SB, we couldn’t decide, and definitely value for money.
