A Knights Tale … Bombay Knights that is. We kicked off Food Truck Friday at Crimea Canteen with a meal from Bombay Knights Street Food. Their business ethos is to offer honest, fresh, gluten free meals at reasonable prices. And, there is always a twist or two.
It was exciting to finally try Bombay Knights’ food and we settled on a “Fish Down Under” meal. Marinated Barramundi, Biryani Rice and a Greek Salad.
This was quite a dish with two large pieces of Fish, a good serving of the Biryani and Salad and assorted dressings. It was also quite attractively arranged.
We added a “Chip Me Up” side dish, i.e. chips with tamarind chutney.
You’ve probably noticed that the food is fusion with little pieces of different cuisines put together in interesting ways. Our dish was no exception and the flavours worked well together.
Xena managed to work her way through an enormous amount of food and enjoyed it immensely.
For me, the two dressings on the fish were a little too much and I would have been content with just one. But, saying that, the food was very tasty and a fab combination of ingredients.
