And, You Give Yourself Away … One word describes Typika Artisan Roasters and that’s “Atmosphere”. The space is a reformed warehouse so it’s funky and industrial. The smell of coffee envelops your senses in a very good way. They had me at hello.
It’s a large venue but there are partitions, the large coffee counter and the roasting room itself. I felt right at home as it’s also very comfortable.
Back to the food, I ordered the “Angry Bird” and a Cappuccino.
My dish presented very well, the fried chicken (or angry bird) was sitting on a large serving of Guacamole which was sitting on top of a house made corn and chive Waffle. To top off this very fusion dish was a super sweet and spicy Korean style sauce.
Did the combination work? You bet it worked. Sampling a piece of everything was bliss but I did decide that next time I’ll order the sauce on the side. Why? Because it was a little over powering after a while. It did not stop me finishing the dish mind.
Will definitely return to Typika because it’s awesome. The coffee was absolutely amazing. The staff were delightful. Oh, and don’t forget that atmosphere.
