Cafe At The Hyatt Regency Revisit, 99 Adelaide Terrace, Perth, Phone 9225 1257.
A Touch Of Class … Café at the Hyatt Regency is one of our special occasion go to venues. The lighting is dim, the décor is sophisticated and there are quiet corners for intimate dining. For me it takes the buffet experience up a notch or two.
Another family gathering for a milestone Birthday saw eight of us gather together. The staff made everything extremely pleasant, they all were very attentive and welcoming.
Eventually we all wandered off in search of food. I made my way straight to the Cold Entrée section and the Seafood. Fresh Crabs, Prawns, Smoked Salmon and a small mixed Seafood salad with Prawns, Mussels, a few greens and some spices. Must admit the Crab was amazing, so sweet and tender and a little hard to eat but who cares.
For mains I selected grilled Salmon, mashed Potatoes with gravy, Roast Vegetables and Roast Chicken. So well cooked, so delicious. A great combination for me. Oh and some truly delightful Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli, just because.
Desserts are always the best part of the meal. Their signature dish is the Crème Brulee and we lucked in to watching the Chef make the crunchy toffee top layer. Delish.
They have a load of different Petit Fours and tiny pots of things like Tiramisu, Lemon Meringue Pie and Strawberry Champagne Jelly. There’s also waffles, ice cream and various larger cakes.
So, if you’re a dessert lover then this place could be your Nirvana.
