It’s Elementary, my dear Watson … Not sure if Holmes & Co have actually named themselves after Sherlock but if not they should have. Their surrounds in Wolf Lane are positively Olde Worlde.
Holmes & Co is not your average café because as well as offering Coffee and Food they are a small bar. With an ever changing menu of wine by the glass and speciality Cocktails.
Love this Laneway because it is full of small foodie venues. I was heading to another Café but got talking with the owners of H&C. So, I ordered a coffee because the place smelled positively ambrosial.
And, the coffee was da bomb, no other words are needed to describe it.
Wasn’t in the mood for a traditional breakfast so I ordered from the Food Display Cabinet. And selected the one Falafel Spinach Wrap that was left as it was filled with salad and creamy feta cheese.
The surprise when it arrived was a small side of garlic potato wedges that looked amazing. And, tasted pretty damn special as well. And, as we’re talking around $15.00 for coffee and food that is very good value.
