One Singular Sensation … Solo Pasta is a breath of fresh air. Monte Fiore have reinvented themselves and the result is something quite special. A light and airy venue and some pretty inventive Pasta by the Metre.
Love the new look decor with it’s white chairs, wooden floors and banquet seating. Oh, and their logo is so fresh and appealing.
On the Pasta side of things it’s all about the Pappardelle which comes in three flavours, Classic, Spinach and Beetroot. Pasta dishes on the menu all come with three metres of Pasta but you can add a metre if you’re feeling peckish for $4.50.
The assortment of dishes on offer is amazing and the combination of ingredients is inventive. Base flavours come in three flavours as well Cream, Tomato and Oil/Jus.
My choice of Spinach Pasta with an Oil/Jus base came with a deconstructed Pesto sauce made up of Basil, Chicken, Cherry Tomatoes, Pine nuts, EVOO and Parmesan.
The chicken is not something I would normally order with Pasta but this worked because it was so tender and juicy. The pasta was perfectly al dente and I loved the chew. Flavour wise this dish was perfect for me and I savoured every mouthful.
There are a lot of Italian places popping up in Perth right now and that’s a very good thing. Solo Pasta is a unique concept and they are doing it so well.
