No Introduction Needed … The Woodfired Baker is back in Maylands. And, I was so happy to read about their new café that I was in the car and driving before I drew breath.
Just think there’ll be Woodfired Baker bread available 7 days a week. Yes!
There are baked goods everywhere you look, from bread, croissants, pies, tarts and a lot more. It’s overwhelming but I’m sure I’ll eat my way through the menu eventually.
Could not resist ordering a Chicken and White Wine Pie and a coffee. Well, you know it’s mandatory when there is one on the menu.
So delighted with the pie and I absolutely loved the sauce. Of course the white wine probably had something to do with that.
I pulled the pie apart and as you can see it looks lush and it tasted even better. Very excited that these pies are available 7 days a week as well.
The coffee was delightful.
Really like the décor, the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
So, I picked up a take away slice of Guglehopf, a swirly vanilla and chocolate bread dessert, a bit like Babka. This was seriously good and I mean that wholeheartedly because I ate the whole thing and it was a very chunky slice.
