I Like Bread And Butter … Or, just a plain old Toastie for that matter. Open Plan Coffee Co is literally open plan and I really like the space. Sitting right on Fitzgerald Street the venue is minimalist and quite charming.
But then I’ve always been partial to an open kitchen and this one is well laid out.
Ordered a cappuccino and sat down to peruse the menu but got distracted by the rain, huge downpour.
The Coffee was very good, not too hot, great Crema and froth. Just lovely.
Eventually decided that the Roasted Vegetable Toastie with Mozzarella and Pesto on sourdough was the one for me.
So, I soon discovered that Open Plan Coffee Co.’s Toasties are anything but plain, or old for that matter.
The Toastie presented very well and had rosemary leaves pressed into the bread. The sandwich was very enjoyable with red peppers and sweet potato plus the delicious drippy, gooey cheese and a light spread of pesto. Grilled to perfection too by the way.
Took half the Toastie home but Xena claimed possession and ate it for breakfast. She loved it by the way.
