These Boots Are Made For Walking … Whitford City has the most fabulous new Hub. That’s what they’re calling it and this al fresco area has water features, greenery and a horde of new Restaurants.
Just so we’re on the same wave length, we’re not talking fast food or food court venues here, these are established brands that have opened sister cafes.
The funny thing about my visit was presuming that everything would be open from 9am and, of course, they were not. So, a lot of walking ensued to find something that was open for breakfast.
I managed to score a Short Mac from East Village which presented well, and had a lively strong back taste with no bitterness at all. The only place serving food that was open but I wanted to leave room for some of my favourites. A bad decision in retrospect.
Must admit that I did not eat much on this visit as my timing was off. But I did manage a Granola Slice and a Carrot and Ginger Juice from Ladle + Press. This venue was my sort of place, healthy and affordable with a great vibe. Oh, and the food is delicious.
It’s notable to see something like this open in the Northern suburbs and there must have been a huge sigh of relief from local foodies. Imagine all those fabulous new places to try.
Max Brenner’s Hug Mug of Hot Chocolate was amazing, as it had the smoothest milk chocolate flavour which added some oomph to the palate. I savoured this lovely chocolate drink and sipped it slowly, enjoying every mouthful.
Just FYI, I’ve already reviewed quite a few of these venues, so check out my Blog.
