My Own Private Idaho … Or, perhaps buffet would be the better choice of words. Why, because Pizzaca Caffé offer a tasting plate of their various brunch dishes. Yes!!
So, I was surprised to see this dish and ordered the tasting plate, and a short macchiato, straight away.

Pizzaca Caffé sits alongside it’s sister venue Pizzaca Pasta To Go which also offers wood fired pizza but only at night.
This review is all about the food and my plate was full of good looking victuals.
First up, an egg Benedict mini brioche bun with brilliant lemony hollandaise and capers. A perfectly poached egg and salmon made this a delicious treat. No supermarket salmon here folks as this was home poached.
Hidden under a mound of spectacular looking crispy bacon was an unassuming little potato cake. Which proved to be excellent to mop up the egg yolk. Delicious.
The granola in the granola trifle was definitely toasted in honey, you could tell from the crunch of the nuts and oats. A unique little dish with poached fruit and it all worked very well and the fruit especially was first rate.
The mini pancake stack topped with syrup was cute, I kid you not there were four tiny light and fluffy pancakes in that stack. Wowsa.
I’m a big fan of the quintessential smorgasbord so this plate of food was perfect for me. Will have to put it on my revisit frequently list.
