We get out and about and eat from Food Trucks quite a lot. It’s usually easy to find them via their Facebook pages. This particular image displays what I like about the Food Truck ethos. Cook good food, find somewhere shady, set out some tables and serve great food.

Divine Street Food … Divine Flute is a new, to us, Street Food vendor which we stumbled across at Crimea Canteen last night. They offer, in their words, Indianized Veggie Treats. There were things on the menu I’d kind of vaguely heard of but immediately decided we just had to try. Dosa and Vada stood out, so we ordered a dish that had both.

It’s De-Lovely … Ah, imagine fresh pasta, cooked in front of you and tossed in a lush looking sauce. And, imagine that it came with fresh bread and parmesan at the total cost of $13.00. Sounds like a bargain huh. We think so too.

It’s a Family Affair … As predicted, Xena wanted a return visit to the Bayswater Streats Crimea Canteen. Left Xena to select her meal of choice and went to look over the other menus. There was a really sweet pink and white van that caught my attention, The Toastie Queen.

It’s finally happened … Parked at a set of lights the other day and saw a Food Truck drive by. It took a bit of rubbernecking to catch the name, “The Fish Boss”, a very promising name. Fish and Chips on Wheels, could it be true!!
Borek Anonymous, The Mysterious Market Stall.
Anonymity is painless … Trekking the pavement at the Inglewood on Beaufort Markets we came across a new stall. Well, new to us I guess. They had out a display plate of their food, which we soon learned was Borek. They also sold Gozleme.

Reimagining Hyde Park … Facebook put Comida Do Sul in my face this morning. Literally. The first thing on my timeline was a picture of the Food Truck and their schedule for the day. Which included Hyde Park from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm. Woohoo.

Corn Fritters … There’s a new Street Food vendor in town and they’re called Fritter Fiesta. Theirs is a unique idea and for me it was love at first sight. Food love that is.

Steamy and Fresh … The T Sisters are actually three sisters who, together with Mama Hawker, create fabulous fresh food in their Market Stall.

Pandora’s Box … Always exciting to try a new Food Van at a Market. And, at the last market we went to there were three new stalls to try. Heaven.

Hand in Glove … The spices are certainly working together very well in the food at this new Indian Food Stall. The Spicy Bites story began “when tender butter chicken fell in love with hot fresh naan”. That last line is a direct quote from their Facebook. It made me laugh, so I included it here.
