Black Bean Burger … Been waiting for a long time to find a Burger Bar that sells BBB’s. Red Chilli Burger Bar has been around since 2014 and how did I not know that !! The venue is located near The Classroom Bar and opposite McDonalds (that fine Scottish Restaurant) in North Perth.

Nights are warm and the Days are young … It’s been a very long time between meals. The last time we enjoyed a meal at Jus Burgers was in their Golden Years. (See what I did there?). Browsed their menu recently and was amazed at the wide variety of sliders on offer. Obviously time for a revisit.

It’s The Little Things In Life … Clarences is a Bar and well touted Foodie Haven on the Beaufort Street Strip. It is a sombre little venue with a small but lovely outdoor area and a split level dining room and bar. Sombre because it is quite dark inside but there is lively music playing and looking around the room, lots of smiles.

Good Things / Small Packages … Unassuming, modest, restrained and petite but packing a big punch food-wise. Sunshine Café and Lunch Bar in Mount Lawley is a place I’ve walked past many times. But recently I’ve been hearing good things about their Banh Mi and knew it was time to step inside.

Sporty Burgers … Varsity Burgers is the baby sister of the Varsity Bar in Nedlands. The Nedlands bar is a rowdy sports bar that happens to sell burgers. The Northbridge burger bar is situated right next to a rowdy sports bar. And, that is not by chance.

This Monkey’s Gone to Heaven … Discovered a Scottish restaurant recently that has just begun serving all day breakfast. The restaurant is very hip, very street and seems to draw enormous crowds. Not sure why I haven’t come across it before.

Déjà vu … As a venue Flamed Burgers is huge. The indoor area is big enough but then you walk outside and it’s like an arena. A funky arena. It’s a hot day and I see a water misting machine. We decide to sit outside and be mistified. See what I did there.

Peri Peri Chicken Burger … Shopping for a cheap doona cover at Watertown (formerly Harbour Town) the other day when Xena decided she needed to eat a Burger. There is only one burger place in the Centre so off we went to Burger Edge Watertown.

Fabulous Alfresco … Looking for somewhere to watch the Melbourne Cup we headed off to the Rosemount Hotel in North Perth. Or, the Rosie, as the locals call it. We joined a crowd of people in the lounge bar to watch the race.

Refreshingly Different … Decided to try a different burger chain. And, seeing the good reviews we settled on V Burger Bar at Floreat Forum. The place is well decorated, with the decor being very much to my taste. The staff were efficient and very friendly.
