Lost Time Is Not Found Again … There is a small list on my desk of places I’ve visited that don’t warrant a full review of their own. But they are interesting places each with their own story to tell. Here’s three from April.
Gramercy Bar And Kitchen, 10 / 777 Central Park, Hay Street, Perth, Phone 9481 1020.
Squash every week into a Day … If I had the ability, that is exactly what I would do. Gramercy has been on my list for two years. Yes, two years. Thankfully, I was able to cross this item off my list today.
Canteen Trigg, 364 West Coast Drive, Trigg, Phone 9447 0077.
School’s Out Completely … Canteen Trigg is the younger sibling of Kailis Trigg. Open since September 2nd Canteen Trigg is a replica of a School Canteen. Well, if your School Canteen had access to some pretty amazing Seafood. The good news is the pricing. Trust me.
Hamptons City Beach, 179 Challenger Parade, City Beach, Phone 9385 9588.
Beside The Seaside … Visited Hamptons City Beach last week for their official Training Day. A day set aside for their staff to have a dress rehearsal. We were really excited to be going and they kindly offered 50% off any food ordered.
The Groper And His Wife, Gayton Road, City Beach WA 6015, Phone 9385 7384.
Welcome Back … The Groper and His Wife, almost an institution in City Beach, has reopened. It required a great deal of effort on their part to make that happen. The fire that destroyed the café, and other businesses, left nothing behind but a shell.
Cottesloe Seaside Adventures, 12 Km South West of Perth CBD.
A Tale of Three Cafes … Baker Street Bakery – The Blue Duck Cafe – Amberjacks. Icy winds were blowing over Cottesloe Beach when I arrived. But I was rugged up for the weather so that was fine. Also, it seems that my timing was off for two of the three places on my list.
The Fish Boss, Food Truck, Location Varies, Perth WA 6000.
It’s finally happened … Parked at a set of lights the other day and saw a Food Truck drive by. It took a bit of rubbernecking to catch the name, “The Fish Boss”, a very promising name. Fish and Chips on Wheels, could it be true!!
