Twilight Meeting … It was exciting to be going to a networking event at the Universal Bar in Northbridge. Such a long time between visits.

Bakery and Butchery … Had heard good things about the Flour Factory so we decided to visit. Must say the building is really impressive and it is surrounded by impressive buildings. Queen Street architecture is actually really something. I haven’t walked down the street for a while and felt a renewed sense of old Perth.

Food Food Food … Lucky Chans Laundry Noodlebar has been a draw for me since I first heard about their crowd funding venture back in early 2014. Loved the idea of their plans and was a big fan of their other venture, The Classroom Bar. We pledged our money for their crowd-funding and couldn’t wait to see what they had achieved.

Bohemian Hideaway … Walking back to our car down a Laneway in Northbridge we stumbled upon the Mechanics Institute Bar. A little excited we rushed up a flight of fire escape stairs. At the top we found a decked area overlooking Northbridge roof tops. There was also the brick building which incorporated the actual “Bar”.

Birthday Girl … Xena’s birthday saw us on a little Pub Crawl around the City and Northbridge. But first we needed to have a substantial lunch.

Dumplings and Cava … What I like about Bob’s Bar most is that it’s named after Bob Hawke. Not because I’m a fan but because if ever there was a larrikin that deserved a bar named after him it’s BH. The walls are lined with quotes from the man himself. “Any boss who sacks anyone for not turning up today is a bum.” Etc.
