Opus Restaurant, 32 Richardson Street, West Perth WA 6005, Phone 9217 8888.
Food – Service – Atmosphere … Walking into Opus Restaurant on Christmas night was impressive, it was like walking into a blissful childhood memory. The space was decorated with a giant tree, gingerbread houses, tinsel and baubles and crackers.
On our arrival we were presented with a festive cocktail which was a very nice touch. The drink was delicious, very fruity with cinnamon and ginger.
So, we had pre-booked the set menu and were treated to a sumptuous Dinner:
Firstly, an Amuse Bouche of Chestnut Soup;
Entree was a lavish Raviolini of Seafood;
Dinner gave a choice of Roast Turkey or Beef Wellington with seasonal vegetables;
Dessert was either Raspberry Soufflé or Christmas pudding. What hell is this.
The meal didn’t finish there because coffee and assorted petit fours were put out on the table. Everyone immediately dived in to grab some of the chocolate morsels but of course it was a refined snafu.
Oh, and not to forget the Candy Canes, Gingerbread and Sweets strewn across the table.
Each course was a revelation. Haven’t had such a delicious meal in a long while. Definitely 5 star.
The service was attentive but not intrusive and nothing seemed to be a bother for the staff. Definitely 5 star.
I cannot recommend the place highly enough, it was perfect.
Just to note, it was this meal which led me to start my own Food Blog because it showed me that Perth food could be inspiring. Incentive enough for sus-ten-ance.com.au and sus-ten-ance facebook to be born.
