Food Glorious Food … There are a few reasons I stop by the David Jones Foodhall when I’m in the City. Mostly it’s because of the food but sometimes it’s just to check out what’s new. I have some favourites that are always a draw.
Sushi Bar:
DJ’s Sushi is consistently brilliant. I stop by whenever I’m in the city for the Tuna and Avocado rolls. As well as white rice, they have brown and black rice Sushi rolls, making me an even bigger fan.
There is a large selection of sashimi on offer.
They also do a black rice deconstructed sushi Tuna salad which is amazing. Black Rice, a good portion of Tuna, crunchy salad, assorted dressings.
Noodle Bar:
Pad Thai … Usually have the sushi when visiting this food hall … But finally tried the Pad Thai from the noodle stand. This is very fresh, Wok tossed in front of you. It’s also full of flavour, lots of veg, noodles and thinly sliced chicken breast. Big Tamarind taste all round. Oh and best of all, fantastic tofu. It was $8.00 (from memory) and too much food for one person. Brilliant.
David Jones Foodhall Noodle Bar has a good selection of noodle dishes on offer besides Pad Thai. They have Laksa and Mee Goreng etc. Cooked fresh.
