Candy Theatre … Roc Candy has been around a long time now. They’re located in Piccadilly Arcade, a lovely Art Deco Structure which was built in 1938.
Watching the Roc Candy being made is always interesting. There is a definite art and much skill needed to mould those candy lines. It’s an admirable profession and dodging all that molten sugar while moulding requires danger money I would suggest.
There are always samples on offer at the Perth store. Little bowls of new flavours and old favourites are put out for visitors to enjoy.
Custom candy is a big part of Roc Candy’s attraction. They will make sweets for all occasions, e.g. Weddings, Birthday Parties, Corporate Events and even Bucks or Hens nights.
Also, it is not uncommon to have the Bride and Groom’s names shaped inside the circular Roc.
Let’s just say that at Christmas the Roc people absolute outdo themselves with theme inspired Candy everywhere you look.
Heritage Listed:
The Piccadilly Theatre and Arcade have been Heritage Listed since December 2002; but it’s unfortunate that some damage occurred during the 1980s. It’s still a very beautiful building and an outstanding Art Deco survivor.
