Napolitana Pizza … Pompei Pizza and Pasta in Dianella is a very large venue. There are comfortable lounge seats to wait for a take away. And, a large slew of tables and chairs if you’re planning on eating in.
On my last visit I noticed that the venue was looking very good. The tables and chairs appear to be new and the black theme continues and is rather swish. Particularly like the high tables and stools.
My absolute favourite pizza from Pompei is the Napolitana. Think anchovies, olives, fresh tomato and a brilliant tomato based sauce with loads of stringy mozzarella. Yum.
I go here specifically for this pizza, nowhere else does a Napolitana better for me. The pizza crust is definitely to my taste. It is thin and crunchy like a Roman pizza. The cheese is not oily, the anchovies are salty and they’re not stingy with them. It’s not the nirvana of all pizzas but for me it is just fine thank you.
The couple who run this Pizzeria are friendly and helpful. They always have time for a chat, queues permitting. The turn around for a pizza seems to be about 10 minutes.
