Cronuts … Had read good things about Fiorentina Cafe’s cronuts, so picked one up to takeaway to see what all the fuss was about.
First thing I noticed was that it was very large, not your usual donut size. The second thing was it was filled with patisserie creme. I cut a small section out to try and it was pretty special. The texture was chewy and blended well with the cinnamon sugar and the lemony goodness of the patisserie creme. All in all, a tasty treat.
Not having been into Fiorentina Cafe before I found my way to the food on display. There was food everywhere you looked around the bench top. Too many treats to analyse properly, loads of cakes, slices and biscuits. It was kind of mesmerising looking over the goodies.
So, spent some time waiting for my Cronut to be packed up and noticed what people were eating. Some stand out looking dishes, mostly those with eggs of some kind. But there were also a couple of people eating tacos.
There are tables full of goodies on the pavement outside as well. To tempt passers-by.
I’m guessing a return visit will be in order.
