Favourite … Slipped into Sayers in Leederville for brunch. Have been a couple of times now and have never been disappointed with the food.
Big fan of Sayers Sister and the layout of the Northbridge café. Mainly because it is less cramped than Leederville. Which is definitely a “cosy” cafe.
The food, however, is very enjoyable in both places and Leederville does have a little bonus courtyard. If you’re lucky enough to get a seat.
Ordered my favourite croquettes with poached eggs and they were exceptional, as usual. Love the coffee, strong with loads of Crema swirled in the froth.
I always feel more welcome at Sayers Sister because while queuing for a table there is excellent service provided by the whole team. This is very well done, as they seat people according to arrival. And, only occasionally will fast forward a couple and make a larger group wait. Best of all, if the wait is long, they will bring out slices of muffin and hand them around. A great idea.
Service at Sayers Food in Leederville doesn’t need to get to that level. At least it’s never happened to us, queuing that is.
So, the cafe has a light airy feel and when the front windows are open it is even better. In colder weather they put up patio blinds to keep the wind and rain out.

Visited Sayers for cake and coffee and must admit that both were fab. My friend Marlo and I sat in the back courtyard, which was a first for me, and I loved the space.
