Little Shop of Plenty – Live and Raw Food Restaurant

Standard

Little Shop of Plenty, 217 Railway Parade, Maylands WA 6051.

Out of the park … Xena was in need of something substantial and healthy for breakfast. So we, finally, headed for the Little Shop of Plenty. A newcomer to the Maylands café scene but it’s as if they’ve always been there.

Little Shop of Plenty

The café’s eclectic styling includes a desert like outdoor area. With cement piping planters, picnic tables and greenery.

Inside the rather lovely old building, there are two separate dining rooms. Both with wooden floors and some very good looking food in the display cabinet.

The staff seem just as happy to be there as the diners, smiles all round the room.

Xena ordered the smashed avo with a berry green tea. While I opted for a raw dessert and cappuccino. I noticed there was a water station with filtered water. Love it when cafes do this, it is so nice to be able to get water when you want it.

The smashed avo was quite impressive when it arrived. It came with two slices of fab looking sour dough toast. And, on looking closely we decided there were small sprinklings of something over the top of the avocado itself. Couldn’t work out exactly what they were but it tasted delicious.

Little Shop of Plenty

This was raw food at it’s best, a fabulous avocado, dressed with some quality ingredients and excellent bread.

My raw dessert was quite large and was billed as caramel goji berry. It definitely tasted of dates. But there were so many seeds and other interesting things going on. The slice was so good that I ate my way through to the end. Possibly, the best raw dessert to date (pun intended).

The cappuccino was pretty fine as well.
