A Little Haven … Steeling myself against the icy winds on Old Perth Road, I sort haven in To The Woods Cafe. The first thing that struck me was the very strong and delightful smell of coffee. Not overpowering just welcoming. The second thing was how warm and cosy it was inside the Cafe.
There was a large Tea menu on the wall, which I read avidly while waiting in the queue for take away. The staff were dealing with the long line of customers quite quickly. A little too busy for a smile but the efficiency was noted.
Purchased a caramel slice to go and really wanted a coffee but didn’t have time to wait. Needless to say that the caramel slice tasted as good as it looked. A layer of smooth chocolate ganache, gooey caramel and a crunchy biscuit base. Excellent grub.
To The Woods display cabinet was brimming with raw desserts and other sweet and savoury treats. Quiche, Frittata, Croissants, Sushi, Assorted Cakes. The whole ambience of the place was welcoming and the food and drink offerings made me want a return visit.
