Dahl Kits … First came across Turban Chopsticks while driving past the Hyde Park Hotel and noticed their shop on Bulwer Street. They also have a market stall which can be found at most of the food markets around town.

Their boxed produce is available off the shelf at Woolworths. We purchased their Dahl Kit and made an enormous pot of Dahl which Xena and I demolished promptly. The spice blending was delicious and worth the price for that alone.

Stumbled across Turban Chopsticks at the Angove Street Festival recently. Simply had to purchase one of their Dahl and Rice bowls. And, at $8.00 with naan bread, this was an exceptional deal. There were loads of veggies in the mix as well and overall the food was pretty fab. It was also easy to eat which, sometimes, street food is not.

Turban Chopsticks’ food is created by two passionate foodies. One Singaporean Indian, the other Malaysian Chinese. Their fusion cuisine is based on the blending of spices from both their cultures.

They started their journey in 2008 with the aim of producing quality, healthy food. Everyone is so busy these days they decided their one-pot meals would offer a healthy, fast plate of food.
