Matcha and Coffee and Cake, Oh My … We were dining in Como and felt like a coffee afterwards. And, on the way back to the car we came across the cutest little café ever.

Little Matcha Girl is sparse, clean and teeny tiny. Infatuated by the look of the place we were drawn towards it. Everything is very white, so the cakes stand out with their vivid colours. And, they are certainly impressive looking.

Unfortunately, they were closing so we didn’t have time for a coffee. We did manage to purchase a Matcha Éclair take away. Thanks to the kind wait person who allowed us in after their 2pm cut off.

Xena laid claim to the éclair from the outset. Not a problem really as lunch was only minutes behind me.

So Xena cut into the éclair and was really happy that the Matcha theme continued inside with a green patisserie crème. This was one special choux pastry. The icing tasted like fondant, the patisserie crème was pretty special as well. Overall I would give this cake a 9 out of 10.

Their flavours include Black Sesame, Matcha Green Tea and Orange Yuzu. There are others as well. They’re a little pricey but we purchased anyway.

We’ll be back to try the coffee because from the aromas wafting about it’s pretty special too.

We were in the area and decided to try the coffee because we had missed out on the first visit. We had a Matcha Latte and an Iced Matcha Latte. Made sure we took photos of the venue, as it is very cool. The coffees were delicious, these Matcha drinks don’t just look the part they taste it as well.
