What’s Love Got To Do With It? … As far as Old Faithful BBQ is concerned, love has everything to do with it. This American Bar and BBQ offers various Meats cooked low and slow. But with an Australian twist.
The Restaurant is two years young and resides in a palatial old building on King Street in the CBD. Their Kitchen is open so patrons can see the meats as they are cooking.
The Bar and Dining area occupy the same space, which is quite large and airy. It has a nice atmosphere and has both Bar and Table seating available. It was also really crowded and once again I found myself surrounded by suits. The acoustics aren’t that great and I found the venue quite noisy. But that was my only minor issue with the experience.
Old Faithful BBQ offer BBQ, Beer and Cocktails. The Beer is sourced from Feral Brewing in the Swan Valley. Their Meats and other produce come from local Suppliers. That’s their Australian twist. Not a bad twist to have.
It’s a pay at the counter venue and there is a water station. I ordered, paid and sat at bar seating by the window. Staff were great to deal with, very friendly.
My BBQ Chicken Sandwich was $12.40. It contained a large amount of BBQ Chicken, Slaw, Old Faithful Mustard and a herby sauce which I couldn’t identify but it was amazing.
The Chicken was melt in your mouth and went with the crunchy coleslaw, mustard and dressing so well. Could not stop eating this epitome of yum.
