Nights are warm and the Days are young … It’s been a very long time between meals. The last time we enjoyed a meal at Jus Burgers was in their Golden Years. (See what I did there?). Browsed their menu recently and was amazed at the wide variety of sliders on offer. Obviously time for a revisit.
Jus Burgers Leederville is a teeny tiny venue but it’s very cool. Small stools at high tables, an open kitchen and an elegant back section with ‘date night’ lighting. Cosy it might be but very comfortable.
After ordering the food, we collected water, glasses and our order number and took some seats at a high table. Seems like we’d just started to wonder where the food was and it arrived.
We ordered three sliders on Brioche buns to share, Chicken, Fish and Chickpea and an order of chips. It all looked pretty good to us. Total cost $20.00.
Silence. Masticating.
The Chickpea patty was thick and tasty and, aptly, came with tahini dressing. But the Fish looked a little overdone, it tasted fine though and had loads of fresh salad and tartare dressing.
Most noteworthy was the chicken, with a garden salad and aioli dressing. The chicken was perfectly cooked and everything went very well together.
So, we were very happy with the experience and the meal was certainly value for money. My only concern would be that as a result of the number of fillings on offer it could potentially lead to a lack of quality control.
