Too Darn Hot … Pretty sure 7 Grams was just your average coffee café when it first opened. But there appears to have been a radical change of cuisine. The Café now bills itself as 7 Grams Korean Fried Chicken Burger Bar.
Not really sure why I’ve never tried this Café. There aren’t that many Cafes in this small strip. But reading about the change of menu made me head off to try their Chicken.
It’s a small café that has a certain Je Ne Sais Quoi. A style all of it’s own with a little nook of one style and a corner of another. But it worked for me. It’s quite a comfortable café and really like the high tables by the retractable window.
There is the usual water station but there is also the cutlery / plate / takeaway container station. This proved to be very helpful when I couldn’t finish my gigantic portion of Fried Chicken.
Noticed the boneless Chicken Kangjeong on the menu and ordered a half serve. This was $15.00 for a plate piled high with Fried Chicken that had a spicy aroma that was tempting enough to get me to dive into the food.
The Kangjeong was very spicy but not too darn hot for me. Relished the big flavours. Found the chicken a little chewy in places. But overall this was a pleasant plate of food.
Unable to finish I packed myself a doggy bag and headed for home and Xena’s opinion. Xena really like the sauce as well.
Many thanks to the staff who made me feel welcome and were very friendly. Must revisit to try the coffee, the aromas were pretty enticing.
