Guilty Feet Have Got No Rhythm … Christmas Eve and in need of a coffee we spied Steam Haus. Today was food shopping day and it was a chore that had to be done. So, I felt guilty taking this time out but not too guilty.
Steam Haus is light and bright and not a great deal has been done to the place. What I mean is, the space was formerly occupied by Nash & Co. but we didn’t venture into the other rooms to see if the Retro décor was still there. Although, I’m pretty sure the artwork is new and it’s gorgeous.
Steam Haus offer a variety of luscious looking baked goods including some from the infamous Mary St Bakery.
We placed our order and two cappuccinos and a couple of cakes just appeared on the table. Which is always a good thing.
So, the coffee smelled delicious and tasted fab. Loving Perth coffee right now as it’s been three weeks of very good coffee for me.
Xena’s Brownie was topped with a piece of peanut brittle and she gave it to me which was surprising. So, I ate the morsel and it was super fabulous and so was the brownie itself.
My banana bread was buttery, moist and large and as sharing seemed to be the new Xena thing, we pooled.
We made a bonus present purchase of peanut butter dog biscuits for our boy. He liked them so much he tried to eat all four at once. $1.50 makes this the most reasonable present ever.
