A Little Gem … With a lot of my favourite cafes closed for the Holidays it was a welcome surprise to stumble across Uncle Lam Vietnamese Noodle House.
This new kid on the Coventry Village Markets block is bright, clean and popular, from the look of the crowd dining in.
I ordered some food to takeaway. And, for the princely sum of $11.50 I received two lemongrass grilled chicken fillets, a large serve of Broken Rice and various side dishes.
To be honest it was a lot of food but the Chicken was tender and the rice was very moorish. I can only presume that the liquid with all the herbs was soup. I drank it like soup and it was delicious. Will probably find out later it’s a foot wash or something. Sorry feet, I’m drinking the next one too.
There was a small bean sprout salad, a container of sweet chilli sauce plus cucumber and tomato slices.
Can’t complain about any of the food or the price. Noticed that right next door is D’Big Mama II.
