The Hummus Club Cafe, 258 William Street, Northbridge, Phone 9227 8215.
Take Me Out Tonight … Xena and I were in Northbridge for a night out and in need of sustenance. So, we headed for the new Hummus Club Cafe on William Street.
These guys have always been one of our favourite Street Food vendors and their Arabic Street Food became very popular very quickly. It’s quite awesome really that they now have a bricks and mortar business.
The venue is elegant and painted a cool white while the large terraced area gives it a great street presence. Inside the main room is charming and the glamorous décor with their signature black, white and pink is gorgeous.
Their wall of fame shows off the names, in Arabic, of the people who donated to their crowd sourcing.
But back to the food and share plates of Hummus, Falafel and Flat Bread were quickly ordered and delivered.
So, this dish looked gorgeous and the hummus tasted luxurious. They had crafted a small well which was topped up with EVOO and a cluster of whole chickpeas. Fabulous.
The Falafels wore a little coating of Tahini and came with a garnish of green and pink pickles. Yes, pink. These are crazy good Falafels which are crunchy on the outside and soft inside.
The Hummus Club appears to have made the transition effortlessly from Street to Cafe. Service was very friendly, the food was great and the venue has good atmosphere.
