Food For The Soul … Authentic Bites Dumpling House has been around for a while now. It’s the type of place where they hand make their dumplings in their open kitchen. Which means theatre and dinner all in one place.
What can I say about chicken noodle soup except that it has been a favourite comfort food of mine for a long time. But I’ve recently discovered that when you combine the noodle soup with dumplings or wontons then it becomes a wondrous thing.
Selected chicken and prawn dumpling noodle soup and received an ginormous bowl of food.
Six plump dumplings, a fair serve of steamed greens, noodles, chicken broth and spring onions. Those dumplings were chewy and delightful, as were the noodles and greens. The broth was definitely my sort of thing as it was clear and savoury and very healthy tasting. Yum.
So, I enjoyed my lunch immensely and at a total cost of $13.50 the soup was super value for money.
Of course, this cafe is not just about noodle soup as the dumplings are also served as Dim Sum and there is a wide variety on offer.
Roadworks still in place I see.
Situated on Newcastle Street next to OEC Bob’s Burgers, Authentic Bites Dumplings House joins a small but rapidly growing group of cafes on this Northbridge strip.
