The Coffee Corner, 528 Charles Street, North Perth.
Coffee Fit For A King … King Charles that is. The Coffee Corner has opened another venue, this time on Charles Street in North Perth.
Charles Street is a lengthy thoroughfare that stretches from the City back to Yokine. And, cafes are few and far between, so when I spied The Coffee Corner I parked up and went inside.
On the topic of parking, there is a car park right next to the venue but access is through a laneway at the rear.
The place is Spartan but has beautiful polished floor boards, eclectic seating and a ginormous coffee machine that blots out the Sun. Just kidding but it is a very large apparatus.
Like the bits of greenery that are dotted around the place and the eclectic seating. Happy to see newspapers and magazines everywhere, which tells me they don’t mind if you hang around a while and drink coffee. Nice.
So, I ordered take away because Xena and early rising do not mix. Two cappuccinos and a couple of Bagels under my arm and I zoomed home.
For Xena it was the Jalapeno Bagel of cream cheese with the spicy chillies mixed in. Xena was impressed and very happy with the level of spice.
For me it was the Blueberry Bagel with the cream cheese and the fruit blended together. Very moorish and a lovely flavour.
Oh, and the stand out were the Bagels themselves, with such a great chew and depth of texture. Perfect really and at $5.00 each, good value for money.
So, the total cost $18.00.
