The people sitting next to me ordered the breakfast plank for two to share. A fabulous idea with all brunch needs catered for in the one dish and with a swirl of gusto presentation. Next time.
It’s a café I’ve been meaning to visit, like forever, but last week it was time! Gusto’s signature dish is their house made crumpets and that made my menu decision very simple.
Three very thick stacked crumpets and a pot of poached pears and berries. An artistic thick smear of Greek yoghurt across the plate and peanut gravel.
A plain and simple dish with just the four ingredients but it was a very wholesome and delicious dish. Quite healthy, with no syrup, except for the jus in the pot of fruit.
A very modern take on the more traditional scones, jam and cream and just as scrumptious.
So, staff were on the ball and very friendly, they were helpful and energetic despite the queues.
