There Goes The Baker With His Tray Like Always … Maison Saint-Honore now has a Bakery in Caversham. And, the place is packed with baked goodies which are all made in house.
I remember buying my first Macaron from these guys at the Subiaco Farmers Market years ago. And, have been a big fan ever since.
The Bakery is gorgeous, with a distinct French farmhouse feel about it. There’s a rustic Loggia out front and one out back as well.
The setting is peaceful and there is a definite country pace to things. Despite the fact that they’re located only 10 minutes or so into the Swan Valley.
Maison Saint Honore bake bread daily and it all looks amazing. Was sorely tempted to purchase but after my meal I was not thinking about food at all.
Decided on a cappuccino (how surprising) and the Café’s tasting plate. Oh my, I lucked into a winner with this tempting dish, I didn’t know what to eat first.
The vanilla ice cream was stand out, so creamy and just divine. The Macaron was lemon and so tart and so extremely delicious.
There was a little pot of, I want to say Bavarois, which had a fresh strawberry topping. Very moorish and I felt I needed to have a large dish of this next time.
So, it was all just about faultless and no need to explain everything on the plate. But those little Madeleine cakes wedged around fresh cream were a little bit spectacular.
Maison Saint-Honore coffee is brilliant and staff were very friendly. A lovely country retreat.
