One Of A Kind … ARTNIA is a café operated by Square Inex Games and it is the only one of its kind in the World. So, if you’re a fan of games like Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy then this place is your Mother ship.
The Café is by reservation only, with fixed arrival and departure times. Don’t worry, they don’t mind if you stick around and shop and believe me if you’re a fan you will want to spend time browsing.
The place is small but very elegant and actually I was astounded at the glamour of the Bathroom. All pampering was taken care of, right down to the heated toilet seat.
The food menu is eclectic with a lot of funky parfaits and other desserts. But the savoury side of things is catered for as well, with a Japanese Curry, sandwiches and other interesting items.
We had already eaten but that didn’t stop Xena ordering the Strawberry pancakes with both cream and ice cream. And, it looked pretty sensational actually. Oh, and a Mocktail to go with the food.
The bar in Artnia is called Seventh Heaven, after the bar in Final Fantasy VII which is run by Tifa Lockhart. It was kind of nice knowing you were sitting amongst fellow Anime fans.
Artnia is situated in a part residential, part commercial area of Shinjuku East, Tokyo. I was a big fan of the architecture and this picture shows how cute the area is.
